MEOC Girl’s Summer Camp and Workshop Registration

Welcome to the MEOC Summer Camp. We will have 10 days of spiritual time, activities, and fellowship at our church. The camp is for rising 7th graders and above. The camp is separated by gender. Girl’s Summer Camp: June 1 to 10, 2026. Please register before May 15th as there are only 30 spots available. We look forward to having you!

Section 2: Medical Information & Authorization

In an emergency, I authorize MEOC staff/volunteers to obtain medical treatment for my child if I cannot be reached. I agree to be financially responsible for these services.

Section 3: Comprehensive Activity & Safety Waiver

I understand that my child will be participating in a residential boarding camp that includes food preparation and cooking (using heat, knives, and appliances), workshop sessions (using hand and power tools), and various physical activities.My child is responsible for bringing their own workshop PPE (safety goggles, gloves, closed-toe shoes).

I acknowledge that MEOC provides a community-supervised environment where parents and church members rotate as volunteers. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with these activities and the boarding environment.

Section 4: Risk & Liability Release

I hereby release, waive, and forever discharge Debre Geezan Medhanealem Eritrean Orthodox Church (MEOC), its clergy, and all volunteer staff from any and all liability, claims, or demands arising out of my child’s participation. This includes, without limitation, any injury or damage resulting from cooking, tool use, recreational activities, or overnight boarding, regardless of whether such injury is caused by negligence or otherwise.

Volunteer or Buyout Requirements (Required for Registration)

This is a mandatory part of the MEOC Summer Camp registration. To ensure a safe boarding environment and successful workshops, each child’s registration requires a commitment of either time or a financial support fee.

  • The Requirement: For this child, you must either:
    1. Volunteer for at least 2 shifts (Day or Night). Here is the signup sheet.
    2. Pay a $150 Support Fee (Buyout for 1 volunteer shift).
    3. Pay a $300 Support Fee (Buyout for 2 volunteer shifts).
  • Per-Child Rule: Since you are filling out a separate form for each child, please remember that each registration requires its own 2-shift commitment or buyout fee.
  • The Next Step: If you choose to volunteer, you will be automatically redirected to a google spreadsheet after clicking “Submit” below. You must select your specific dates and times there to finalize this child’s registration.
